As an educator, it is vital to identify learning gaps, challenges, and motivators that influence the performance of students. An experience map is an innovative approach on student experiences in which students can reflect, self-assess, and express the emotional aspect of learning in a methodical manner. This seminar will demonstrate how one institution used experience mapping in a student-centered approach to gather descriptive feedback and experiences identifying success and opportunity for future improvements. The seminar participants will identify opportunities to implement experience mapping and also be introduced to digital whiteboard tools to facilitate this process.
