Artificial intelligence is changing the way comprehensive oral health education is taught and practiced. As educators, we are challenged every day to find educational tools that keep students engaged in classroom, preclinical and clinical settings. The ADEA Section on Comprehensive Care and General Dentistry and CADCAM SIG officers, co-sponsored by other ADEA Sections, are joining forces to create a pathway of endless opportunities for dental and allied dental educators to adapt, embrace change and teach Gen Z learners effectively. We highlight the importance of promoting critical thinking skills and inspiring educators to develop state-of-the-art course content with scientific evidence to enhance student learning experience.

Learning Objectives:

  • Leverage digital technologies/platform to use as an aide in self-assessment and improve critical thinking skills for allied dental students.
  • Discuss the ways to integrate Diagnostic Criteria for TMD protocol and digital articulator system to improve student's comprehension of TMD and occlusion concepts.
  • Acquire knowledge in implementing concepts of analogue and digital dentistry in the predoctoral curriculum.
