Integration of digital assessment tools can enhance dental student preparation for licensure exams. These innovations provide tools that students can use for self-assessment, as the software provides accurate and objective feedback. The authors have successfully adapted tools, such as Romexis Compare® and prepCheck®, in endodontics and fixed prosthodontics. Students can compare pulpal access cavities to an ideal access created by faculty and can compare a crown preparation to an ideal crown preparation. As institutions explore digital workflows, the opportunities to develop newer innovative teaching methodologies are endless. Participants will be able to identify strategies for successful implementation of this technology.

Strategize methods for faculty to incorporate these digital tools in education.
Identify opportunities for students’ self-assessment in preparation for licensure exams.
