Patient care is stressful for students entering the clinic. Time management is a crucial skill that needs to be developed to reduce this anxiety. The workshop will discuss time management issues and how a structured simulation exercise in restorative dentistry was designed to teach time management skills to students entering the clinic. Pre- and post-polls revealed significant knowledge and skills gained. Participants in this workshop will identify a niche in their discipline and create an outline for a simulated exercise, using a worksheet, compare notes and gain additional ideas for application.

  • Develop an outline for a simulation exercise in time management using the worksheet provided.
